Trimble Mobile GPS Locator 110 --GPS Sensor for Mobile
Computers
| The Mobile GPS Locator 110 --providing mobile computing
with a sense of direction
Use your portable computer to navigate and collect position
data. The Mobile GPS Locator 110 provides the mobile professional
with a compact and affordable sources of precise GPS positioning
data.
The Locator 110 integrates a GPS antenna and receiver in a single
device. The unit is about the size of a computer mouse and may
be mounted on your vehicle's dashboard, windshield, or rooftop.
It connects to the serial port on your portable computer.
Once linked to the Locator 110 , your portable computer begins
receiving precise GPS position and time data--anywhere on Earth,
at any time, in any weather.
Load a digital street map, and the Locator 110 turns your portable
computer into an in-vehicle navigation device. An image of your
car appears on-screen, moving over the map as you move over the
actual streets.
Your Locator -equipped computer can also easily record the precise
position of objects or assets in the field. And it can automatically
tag any of your data entries with the location and time of their
creation.
The Locator 110 features a built-in power pack. As a result, you
can spend more time on the road or in the field. The Locator 110
also accepts external sources of DC power.
Software developers can use Trimble's Mobile GPS SDK Software
to design custom GPS applications for the Locator 110. The SDK
Software includes DOS and Windows product design tools.
